Teens need a safe place to make good friends among their peers. They also need a safe place to connect with good role models, someone they can learn from and imitate. Our goal is to keep Youth Institute free for teens to attend. We want this resource available to teens of all backgrounds.

Youth Institute is a program run and staffed by the YMCA of Rapid City, a place where community comes together. Youth Institute is one part of that larger community. As such donations made to Youth Institute should go through the Donations page of the YMCA.

For legal proposes teens are required to have a YMCA membership to be apart of YI but it is part of the YMCA’s mission to provide youth membership scholarships at not cost to those who need it. At the YMCA Donation page you can request that your gift go to supporting youth memberships and/or the program of your choice.
